François Vogel is a French artist, filmmaker, and visual experimenter whose practice explores the intersection of empirical experimentation and poetic vision within contemporary digital art. With a background in scientific studies and a formative education at the French École des Arts Décoratifs, where he graduated in 1992 from the video art department, Vogel has consistently challenged the boundaries of perceptual space through a distinctive combination of optical capture and digital manipulation. His early work in the 1990s on visual effects for films established his reputation as an inventor of techniques that blur the line between reality and illusion, earning recognition from international production companies.
